Youth Ministries
Kids Talk:
Kids talks are given about once each month
during worship - a message tailored for the kids as
they gather at the front of the sanctuary and
shared with the whole congregation.
Kids Church:
During the sermon at each week's worship service,
kids are given their own time to learn about God
and Christ in our lives.
Kids of His Light:
Kids from 4 years old to the 4th grade are invited
to join us for fun-filled evenings of games and
activities aimed at highlighting Christ's presence
in our lives.
First Communion:
We will be starting another class soon for those
who are ready to take First Communion (children
in 2nd grade and older, with parental involvement).
Confirmation:
To prepare youth to take the next steps in their
faith journeys, confirm and declare their Christian
faith, and accept their commissioning to faithful
church membership, we are pleased to begin
Confirmation education for 6th to 8th grade
students.
Middle School Youth Group:
Students from 5th to 8th are invited to join
together on the last Sunday of each month -
September through May - for a time of fellowship
and activities, food and devotion. Activities will
vary by month, so come willing and ready to have
a great time!
Other programs in various stages of planning
include a Children's Christmas Program, a co-ed
Youth Soccer Night, a Toddlers Group, Middle
School and High School Youth Groups, and a
Youth Music Program.
Adult Ministries
Adult Bible Study - Read, study, interpret, and
apply: these are ultimately the goals within each
facet of our spiritual journey. Come share in this
invigorating time! Multiple groups meet
throughout the year.
Music Ministries
Our Praise Band is always looking for additional
talent - please contact the church office if you're
interested in sharing your musical gifts for Christ's
glory!
Outreach
Currently, we are blessed to already have our Light
the Way Preschool and ACE programs to share the
Word of God with families in the community. We
are active supporters of the Marana Food Bank,
and are expectantly looking to expand our efforts
into several new areas.
We are also excited at the prospects for our
evolving and expanding Outreach efforts as we
develop new mission partnerships, creating
additional opportunities for program development
and support. Our affiliation with the Lutheran
Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) is yet
another avenue allowing us to pursue new
Outreach opportunities, as well.
Support for God's work everywhere through our
prayers for our community and the world will be
an ongoing mission and, continually, we are
thankful to be "claimed by the Light of Christ
forever, as we are called, gathered, and sent to tell
of God's love and to serve all of God's people!"
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority
in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them
to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the
age."
~Matthew 28:18-20
